| Hi, my name is Dan Trunk people call me the Captain. I bought my first item on eBay in Apr, 1999 (back when the ships were wood and the men were steel). I was hooked. I started selling the same month. Today I'm a PowerSeller with a positive feedback of over 6500. Like many people selling on eBay it went from being a hobby, to being a business; but from the beginning it was always a passion.
Over the years I've learned what works, what doesn't work and what sometimes works. I've helped dozens of individuals get started selling (and buying smart) on eBay. I have spent 45 years with a number of software companies, designing, implementing, selling and training people and companies in the use of business software.
While it was fun and put three kids through college, it just couldn't match the feeling of being your own boss and doing business in your underwear if you wanted. Then I found that helping people learn how to use eBay was even more fun (I promise I don't do that in my underwear).

You can of course go on eBay and find tons of books, tapes, CDs DVDs etc.. All with names like,"How to become a PowerSeller and make a million buck a day on eBay". Yah right. There are even free classes run by the dreaded MIDDLEMEN ( all you have to do is buy a ton of their junk). Any knowledge that costs nothing is worth nothing, Wisdom is even more expensive.
