Marilyn Paguirigan is a Honolulu-based Education Specialist trained by eBay. She completed her training and certification in June of 2005, which makes her one of the most experienced teachers in the program. She is one of very few instructors to receive the distinction of being a "Certified Education Specialist" in the nation.
Ms. Paguirigan's training events are posted in the Ecucation Specialist's Directory accessible from the eBay site. The curriculum and training materials she utilizes are approved, copyrighted, developed, and used by eBay University. To date, she has served hundreds of micro-entrepreneurs by offering seminars on how to establish an eBay business or aggressively scale an existing eBay business. She has taught workshops covering the "Basics of Selling" and has also served as a Business Consultant for "brick and mortar" stores who have successfully utilized her services in ramping up their online business sales.
A member of the eBay community since January of 2003, Ms. Paguirigan has extensive experience as a Seller having completed over 13,000 transactions on eBay. She was an international seller, owned two eBay stores (US & Australia), was a high-demand Trading Assistant, an eBay Power Seller, and the sole founder of the first community group of Hawaii-based eBay Sellers. In November 2005, Ms. Paguirigan was featured in an article in the Honolulu Advertiser titled, "Kalihi Woman finds World Market Hungry for Isle Crafts." Recognized for her success, she was featured in the book published in 2007 by Atlantic Publishing titled, The eBay Success Chronicles which profiled 70 of the most successful eBay PowerSellers. In that same year, Ms. Paguirigan was invited to speak at the eBay Convention on "How to bring your eBay Business into the real world."
Ms. Paguirigan's extensive experience is powerful tool that she uses to help others be successful on eBay. She is now retained as a consultant for private clients and continues to share her knowledge with others at eBay seminars and presentations in Hawaii and the greater Pacific region.
Organizations that have sponsored and supported her presentations include Hawaii Women's Business Center, University of Hawaii Pacific Business Center, Pacific Islands Small Business Development Center in association with the University of Guam, Marshall Islands Visitors Authority and Pacific Asia Travel Association – Micronesia Chapter.
